Rapper DMX has been released from Maricopa County Jail after serving 90 days for charges of cruelty to animals, possession of narcotic drugs, theft and possession of marijuana.
DMX, real name Earl Simmons, pleaded guilty to the charges in December 2008 following a series of arrests throughout the year and was sentenced to 90 days in prison.
While serving his sentence Simmons was re-booked for aggravated assault and placed under 23-hour lockdown after getting into an altercation with a corrections officer.
Prior to his incarceration, Simmons had been planning to release two new albums, "Walk With Me Now/You'll Fly With Me Later," however; there has been no update on the status of either project.
